The course is a direct continuation of 414 History of the Scandinavian Languages I: Proto- to Common Scandinavian. It gives students an overview of the development from Common Scandinavian to modern Icelandic, Faroese, Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish. The emphasis is on phonological and morphological developments and changes.
